  • 30th August, Fairtrade stall at Summerhill visitors center.

  • 25th October, One World Week service with Hartlepool town-wide churches together, 6pm St. Georges.
  • 5th December, The Wave’ Stop climate chaos demonstration, London, details to be arranged.
  • Clothes Swap date to be arranged.

Actions

We are supporting Teeside Nightstop which provides emergency accommodation for homeless young people aged between 16 - 25, in the homes of trained volunteer hosts. for further information please click here.

Every Month, as a group, we select a particular cause to campaign for by writing letters or distributing campaign cards. For details of our Campaign letter of the month please click here

We supported Anti - slavery international by collecting school’s materials for the children of former slaves in Niger. We collected chalk, notebooks, skipping ropes, crayons, pencils, maps, colouring pencils, pens, paper/card, paints, brushes, games and blue tack.

  • 11th August, 2007 letter writing session. Various campaign issues will be highlighted, with names and details of key people to address and draft letters produced.
  • 19th September 2007, A Grand Ceilidh and supper with the Endeavour Ceilidh band, Summerhill visitors centre, (Hosted on behalf of the Hartlepool Fair Trade Town Steering Group.)
  • 17th October 2007, ‘Stand up, speak out’ against poverty demonstration. Newcastle university campus

  • 13th-14th November 2007, 24-hour prayer for Global Poverty Prayer Week, St. Luke’s Church, Tunstall Avenue, Hartlepool.

  • 2nd December 2007, FairTrade Market at the History Fair in the Borough Hall, The Headland, Hartlepool.

  • 12th April - 18th May 2008, ‘Drop the Debt fast’, .
  • 18th May - 2008, International Convention center, Birmingham. ‘Journey to justice’.
  • 31st May Clothes swap. Clothes remaining at the end of the swap were donated to the Breakfast Club and the Hospice shop. 
  • 12th July, Fairtrade stall held at the Headland Heritage Festival selling £140 of Fairtrade products.

  • 17-19 October 2008. Stand up against Poverty campaign
  • 19 October 2008,  One World Week service at Westbourne Methodist Church, sponsored by  Town Centre Churches Together
