Hartlepool Global Peace and Justice Group will next meet at 8pm at St. George’s United Reformed Church on Monday 11th August.
Upcoming Events:
- 11th August, 8pm - letter writing session. Various campaign issues will be highlighted, with names and details of key people to address and draft letters produced.
- Clothes Swap ‘Shed your clothes with the leaves.’ date to be arranged.
- Fairtrade fashion show, date to be arranged 2009
Actions
We are supporting Anti - slavery international by collecting school’s materials for the children of former slaves in Niger. We are collecting chalk, notebooks, skipping ropes, crayons, pencils, maps, colouring pencils, pens, paper/card, paints, brushes, games and blue tack. Donations of such can be left at the Cornerstone bookshop at St. George’s Church, Park road or contact us. For Further details click here

- 28th October, 6:30pm - One World Week service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Durham Street, The Headland, Hartlepool.
- 3rd November, 9:30am - MakePovertyHistory Roadshow at St. Joseph’s Parish Centre, Hutton Avenue, Hartlepool.
- 13th-14th November, starting 5:45pm - 24-hour prayer for Global Poverty Prayer Week, St. Luke’s Church, Tunstall Avenue, Hartlepool.
- 1st December - FairTrade Market at St. George’s Church, Park Road, Hartlepool.
- 2nd December - FairTrade Market at the History Fair in the Borough Hall, The Headland, Hartlepool.
- 31st May Clothes swap. Clothes remaining at the end of the swap were donated to the Breakfast Club and the Hospice shop.
- 12th July, Fairtrade stall held at the Headland Heritage Festival selling £140 of Fairtrade products.
